Websec present at Campus Party 2011
Websec attends Campus Party Mexico 2011, the third annual edition of the world's largest technology event. Pedro Joaquin will moderate the Profession: Hacker roundtable and present a new framework for exploiting router and embedded-device vulnerabilities.
More than 60 thousand people will be in attendance at the biggest world-wide technological event, the third annual Campus Party Mexico from July 18th to the 24th, at the Expo Bancomer in Santa Fe. During a 7 day span, technology lovers of all nationalities, ages and genders dubbed "Campuseros" will live in leisure and digital innovation in areas such as information security, sciences, culture and games, which in turn allows the growth of knowledge and businesses.
Campus Party started in Spain in 1997 and since 2008 the event has been expanded to Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador and now Mexico. This event has united thousands of participants under the idea that "the internet isn't a network of computers, it's a network of people".
Pedro Joaquin, Director of Corporate Security of Websec Mexico will participate as a moderator at the "Profession: Hacker" round table and will present a framework for the exploitation of web vulnerabilities found in routers and embedded devices on Friday the 22nd of July at 4PM. The tool consists of a compilation of exploits, both local and remote, ready to run and optimized to be used from mobile devices such as Blackberry, Iphone, Ipad, Android and others.
