Websec Sponsors the 9th Annual Oddfellows Disc Golf Tournament
Websec was a Standard Sponsor of the 9th Annual Oddfellows Charity Disc Golf Tournament on June 7, 2025. Over its first eight years the tournament had raised more than $167,000 for the Vancouver Island Crisis Society and over $36,000 for Mary's Farm and Sanctuary, and the 2025 event continued that tradition.
Websec was proud to return as a Standard Sponsor of the 9th Annual Oddfellows Charity Disc Golf Tournament, held on June 7, 2025. The tournament brings disc golf players and community members together for a day of friendly competition with all proceeds going to local charity.
Where the Funds Go
Over its first eight years, the tournament has raised more than $167,534 for the Vancouver Island Crisis Society and over $36,000 for Mary's Farm and Sanctuary, and the 2025 event continued that tradition with proceeds going primarily to the Vancouver Island Crisis Line.
The Vancouver Island Crisis Society provides accessible voice, text and chat crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, and is a network partner answering calls and texts from BC on the national 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline. In a recent year the Society handled over 31,000 calls and nearly 1,000 chats and texts, completed 125 active rescues with 911, and delivered 1,668 interventions to Mental Health Crisis Services. Mary's Farm and Sanctuary, also known as Blossoming at the Farm, runs nature-based therapeutic and educational programs for children and youth.
Why We Keep Coming Back
The work these organisations do matters, and the tournament has become one of the more effective ways to back it locally. Backing a community event that is also a serious fundraiser for two causes we respect is exactly the kind of involvement we look for, and we were glad to be part of it again.
