Websec Proud to Sponsor BSides Vancouver 2025

At Websec, we’re proud to once again sponsor BSides Vancouver 2025, taking place May 25–26 at SFU Harbour Centre. We've supported this event since its first year, and we're excited to continue that tradition as it returns for another year of community-driven collaboration, education, and innovation.

A Continued Commitment to the Cybersecurity Community

Since the early days of BSides Vancouver, Websec has been a dedicated supporter. Why? Because we believe in the power of community. Cybersecurity is a constantly evolving field, and it takes more than technology to stay ahead. It takes people sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and working together to tackle new and complex threats.

BSides events have always embodied that spirit. They’re grassroots, inclusive, and technical, offering a space where newcomers and veterans alike can learn, speak, and grow. We’re honored to contribute to an event that helps strengthen the local InfoSec community.

Spotlight on Disinformation: This Year’s Theme

This year’s theme, “Navigating the Misinformation Minefield: Cybersecurity in the Age of Disinformation,” is especially timely. As false narratives and manipulated content increasingly influence public discourse, business operations, and national security, the cybersecurity world must adapt. Understanding and countering disinformation is now an essential part of the modern defender’s role.

We look forward to the insights, research, and conversations that will emerge from this year’s talks and workshops. It’s through events like BSides that we collectively stay sharp and resilient.

See You There!

Whether you’re a researcher, red teamer, blue teamer, student, or just passionate about security, we hope to see you at the event. Stop by our booth and chat with the Websec team. We’d love to connect and hear what you’re working on.

Together, let’s continue building a stronger, smarter, and more secure digital future.
